It’s a pleasure to announce that photographer and author Mikkel Aaland is returning to Nordic Light to co-host the festival together with our Artistic Director Morten Krogvold. Aaland will among other things have a special responsibility for the gallery talks with our guest photographers.

– I have attended photo festivals and events all over the world, and Nordic Light in Kristiansund is my favorite, says Aaland, American of Norwegian descent. Along with his wife and two daughters, he is currently based in San Francisco and Telemark, Norway.

Mikkel Aaland’s relationship with Nordic Lights spans over 9 years. In our upcoming festival catalogue, he will share some of his most precious memories from these years.
