Relations between human beings and the nature in rural America are among the topics that occupy Lucas Foglia. He grew up on a small farm in the United States, where his parents had settled to live a life as self-sufficient. As a photographer, he has traveled in search of people who are trying to stay more or less "off the grid"; people who live without money, build their own house, fetching water from the creek. He also has photographed mining and ranch workers.
