The nordic light house – the festival hub
The festival's hub is at our own house at Konsul Knudtzonsgate 4b (6509 Kristiansund N). Here are the majority of our galleries, our festival pub and café andour festival office. Right next door is the Caroline Cinema Center, where the lectures and the Face to Face - talk show finds place.
The festival office
This is where you get your festival passes on arrival, where you buy tickets and where you can ask all the questions you need answers to regarding the festival. This is also our festival shop, where all sales will take place from books, catalogues and posters to art works from the exhibitions.
Opening hours (preliminary): Tuesday 2nd of May: 10-18, Wednesday 3rd-Sunday 7th of May: 8-20.
Krogvold Café is the festival pub and café. Here you can get something to eat and drink, and hang out between lectures and gallery walks. The café is named after our creative director Morten Krogvold, and some of his works is on display here.
Opening hours (preliminary): Wednesday 3rd until 02, Thursday 4th, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th 12-02, Sunday 7th 12-20.
The lectures all take place at the Caroline Cinema Center which is located right next door to the Nordic Light House.
The majority of the exhibitions are at the Nordic Light House, spread over our three galleries; The Bakery (1st floor), The Photo Studio (2nd floor) and The Print Room (2nd floor). In addition we use a gallery belonging to "Kristiansund Kunstforening" (The Art Society of Kristiansund) and we usually have a variety of outdoor exhibitions. More information will be published closer to the festival.
The locations of exhibitions for schools, students, kindergartens and camera clubs varies from year to year. More information about these locations will come closer to the festival.
Opening hours (preliminary): Galleries at the Nordic Light House: Wednesday 3rd , Thursday 4th, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th 12-24, Sunday 7th 12-20. Related galleries: 12-20.
All our (with a few exceptions) are sales exhibitions.
